Since the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic we’ve supplied bespoke protective plastic screening to enhance social distancing to a wide range of clients from retailers to libraries, offices to schools. Commonly called “sneeze screens” a transparent clear plastic screen acts as a barrier between the public and staff, helping to reduce the risk of infection caused by airborne viruses generated by coughing and sneezing.

We have the capability to form, bend, and weld screens from flat clear plastic to fit any application or space, whether you need fixed screens, suspended screens, table-top screens or stand-alone floor screens. We can create tailor-made screens to fit workstations, around desks, on shop counters, supermarket check-outs, in hair and beauty salons and even factory production lines.

There are various types of thermoplastic that are suitable for fabricating into bespoke hygiene screens, all of which have the right properties for the job:

• PETG (Polyethylene terephthalate glycol) is durable and strong, impact and chemical resistant, easily heat bent into shape.
• Acrylic (known as Perspex) is ideal for transparent screening and easy to clean and disinfect with alcohol wipes.
• Polycarbonate is crystal clear and 200 times stronger than glass, but light in weight. Weather resistant it is ideal for use outdoors.
• PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is strong and flame resistant with good chemical resistance. Easy to weld and available in various colours.
