Our Heavy Duty Grit Top workplace matting solves two hazards with one product: it reduces the risk of slips and standing fatigue in demanding industrial and manufacturing environments.

If you work in a place like an engineering workshop or machine tool workshop where swarf is present standing on a Heavy Duty Grit Top mat will ensure a slip resistant surface underfoot with thick cushioning for comfort on cold, hard floors.

These Heavy Duty Grit Top mats are manufactured from 100% nitrile (synthetic rubber) which is resistant to chemicals, oil and grease. There are open holes in the design to allow for the drainage of liquids, and the edges of the mat are bevelled to reduce trip hazards. The top surface of the mat is coated with carbide silicone which gives a gritty non-slip texture.

Statistics (from the HSE) show that slipping and tripping is the most single common cause of major injury in UK workplaces, and are often at the root of accidents attributed to other causes, like machinery accidents or scalding. Non-slip mats are therefore crucial for preventing accidents and non-productive downtime.
